Polynucleotide Therapy

Plinest Hair is an advanced polynucleotide injectable treatment designed to revitalise the scalp, stimulate hair growth and strengthen weakened hair. Formulated from highly purified salmon-derived DNA molecules, polynucleotides work at a cellular level to stimulate fibroblast activity, collagen synthesis and tissue regeneration which improves scalp microcirculation and enhances follicle vitality. By restoring balance and hydration to the scalp, Plinest hair helps prolong the growth phase of the hair cycle which reduces shedding and improves thickness and hair density promoting stronger and more resilient hair growth.

Which areas can be treated?

Plinest hair can be used on the scalp, eyebrows and beard area.

What happens during the procedure?

Your practitioner will cleanse the scalp or area being treated. They may apply a numbing cream to reduce discomfort. Multiple microdroplet intradermal injections will then be administered across the treatment area.

How many treatments are needed?

For best results, we advise a 2 phased treatment plan:
Phase I – one session every 1-2 weeks for a total of 4 sessions.
Phase II – one session every 3-4 weeks for a total of 4 sessions.
(8 sessions in total)

Maintenance treatments every 6-12 months are advised to sustain results.

Are there any side effects?

No serious adverse events have been reported.

Mild redness and swelling immediately after the procedure can be expected and you may experience some bruising and itchiness for a few days following the treatment. It is  important to avoid touching the treated area and avoid washing your hair for 12 hours after the procedure.

What results are expected?

Following a course of treatments, enhanced scalp hydration and improved hair texture may be noticeable in the first few weeks. Reduced thinning and increased hair density typically develop over the next few months. Improvements can last 6- 9 months. Maintenance treatments every 6-12 months are advised to sustain these benefits.

Can Plinest hair be used alongside other treatments?

Plinest hair can be combined with complementary treatments such as PRP or Exosome therapy. Plinest hair can also be used to enhance scalp health prior to hair transplantation which will help support hair regrowth in the long term.

Combination packages are available.

Exosome therapy

Exosome therapy is a ground breaking regenerative medicine approach for hair restoration that utilises exosomes which are microscopic extracellular vesicles secreted from stem cells. These vesicles act as powerful messengers transporting proteins, growth factors and genetic material between cells. When used in hair restoration, exosomes improve blood flow and nutrient delivery to the scalp, reduce scalp inflammation, and repair and activate dormant hair follicles. Hydrating and revitalising the scalp resets the strength of the dermal papillae, the hair bulb is reactivated to stimulate the growth phase of the hair cycle enhancing hair thickness and density and promoting hair follicle regeneration.

At CMG, we use Purasomes HSC50+ Hair & Scalp complex which is a specialised formula of ethically sourced bovine colostrum-derived exosomes rich in antibodies, growth factors, proteins, vitamins and minerals.

Which areas can be treated?

Purasomes can be used on the scalp, eyebrows and beard area.

What happens during the procedure?

Your practitioner will cleanse the area of the scalp being treated. A numbing cream may be applied to reduce discomfort. Purasomes are administered using microneedling techniques, creating tiny punctures on the skin surface which are essential for the deep penetration and effective delivery of the product into the scalp.

How many treatments are needed?

For best results, a series of 4-6 treatments every 3-4 weeks is advised.

Regular maintenance treatments are then recommended every 3-6 months.

Are there any side effects?

No serious adverse events have been reported.

Mild redness, swelling and tenderness can occur but should only last a day or two following a treatment. It is important to avoid touching the treated area and avoid washing your hair for 12 hours after the procedure.

What results are expected?

Following a course of treatments, you would expect to see a visible improvement in hair growth and density, with results expected to last 9-12 months.

Can Purasomes be used alongside other treatments?

Purasomes can be combined with other complementary treatments such as PRP or Plinest Hair therapy. Purasomes can also be used following hair transplantation to accelerate healing, support graft survival and enhance hair growth in the long term.

Combination packages are available.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy for Hair Regeneration

PRP is a scientifically proven treatment that can reinvigorate dormant hair follicles, improve the quality of your hair and scalp and stimulate new hair growth. Platelets are injected into the scalp to reach the bottom of the hair follicle; stimulating dermal papilla cells which are critical in hair growth.

PRP is suitable for those who have early stage male or female pattern hair loss or hair thinning and various other types of alopecia.

PRP is not suitable for those with certain blood disorders.

How does PRP work?

PRP works by using platelets from your own blood which are centrifuged and concentrated. These platelets contain growth factors which are then injected into areas of the scalp affected by hair thinning. The growth factors help reduce inflammation, support tissue repair and improve blood supply to the scalp stimulating the hair follicles and promoting healthier hair growth.

PRP Therapy post Hair Transplant Surgery

Clinical studies have shown that PRP may support healing and improve the growth and quality of transplanted hair. PRP therapy following a hair transplant has been shown to minimise scarring, increase graft success rate and improve sustainability of results.

Your PRP treatment plan following a hair transplant will be guided by your Surgeon’s protocol.

Which areas can be treated?

PRP can be used on the scalp and beard area.

What happens during the procedure?

The treatment area is cleansed and a numbing cream is applied. A blood sample is taken from your arm which is then placed in a centrifuge machine to separate the platelet rich plasma. At Cornwall Medical Group (CMG) we use the Arthrex centrifuge to ensure the highest quality and concentration of platelets. The plasma which is rich in platelets and growth factors is then injected into the scalp using a fine needle. Following this series of small injections, the remaining PRP can be administered using microneedling techniques which further stimulates the scalp and enhances results.

How many treatments are needed?

For best results, we recommend a series of 3 treatments 4-6 weeks apart with maintenance treatments every 3-6 months.

Are there any side effects?

Mild bruising, swelling and redness at the injection sites are common immediately following the procedure and can last from 24- 72 hours. Your scalp will be more sensitive so it is advisable to avoid excessive heat or sunlight exposure during this healing time.

PRP is ‘autologous’, meaning that it comes from your own body. It is therefore immunologically neutral and poses no danger of allergy, hypersensitivity or foreign-body reactions.

What results are expected?

Most clients begin noticing improvements after 3-6 months with reduced shedding, increased hair quality, thickness and density and hopefully new hair growth beginning. Results should last 12- 18 months following the first 3 treatments.

Can PRP be used alongside other treatments?

PRP can be combined with other complementary treatments such as Plinest Hair or Purasome therapy. PRP is commonly advised following hair transplantation surgery to accelerate healing and support graft survival and hair growth in the long term.

Combination packages are available.
